Blood in mucus second trimester

I'm 18 weeks and 1 day pregnant.

For 2 days now, when I go to the bathroom, only upon wiping (nothing on underwear) I'm noticing a tiny amount of red blood in my discharge.
I've never experienced this before... is this something common or something I should be concerned about? My and hubby did make love 4 days ago, was wondering if my cervix is irritated?

Can definitely happen after intercourse etc, a lot of people have spotting in second trimester. However, I'd still run it by my midwife or give triage a call x

Call the Early Pregnancy Unit at your hospital. Anything bleeding wise is best to be checked out. I’m sure it’ll be fine, just better to be safe 🙂

@NorthernPoppetPrincess I called the maternity assessment centre and they didn't seem too concerned as it wasn't blood enough to fill a pad. Just to monitor it. Either l may have thrush or intercourse may have caused it x
