Hello :) I'm only 4 weeks, found out two days ago and the midwife registration form already asks me where do I want to deliver 😳

I have three options:

  • Saint Mary's Hospital at Oxford Road Campus
  • North Manchester Hospital
  • Wythenshawe Hospital

I’m living within similar distance to the first two but I’m leaning towards the Saint Mary’s. The last one is 40 min drive which sounds a bit too much, the others are 15-20 min away.

Can you share your experiences please?

Do not choose North…please. It is a hell hole and from my personal experiences…dangerous 😥Congrats on your pregnancy x

@fairymary87 thank you for sharing your experience, so glad it worked out. That’s what I’ve been thinking as well, hope for the best, prepare for the worst. You never know the way it’s going to go

Another vote for St Mary’s.
I delivered our daughter there four years ago, couldn’t fault it at all. Ended up having a planned section as induction failed, I felt very well looked after.
Post natal ward was absolutely fine and I considered going there again, but live about 1 hour away now so chose another hospital.
