Scared to get pregnant due to issues with previous pregnancy

Hello everyone

I have 2 children at the moment. One is almost 4. And the other just turned one.

with my second, during the pregnancy my heart rate would suddenly go up whilst I’m walking about and make me feel faint. This happened once or twice. I brushed it off.

when it came to giving birth, during labour my heart rate was 140-160. It’s all everyone could focus on. Ruined the “calm hypnobirthing” experience I was aiming for.
everyone was freaking out and just on my back. I understand why of course. But this has scared me from ever getting pregnant again.
one of the major reasons is that I felt like I was dying, even afterwards. My resting heart rate was 120 during the day or 2 I was in the hospital. They didn’t want to let me go till it came down but I begged them to let me go as my mental health was suffering. I had so much anxiety regarding those regular checks they did on my heart rate. This lead me to have major bonding issues with my second. I feel like a completely disconnected from the fact I’ve just had a baby, and just constantly thought “did I nearly die?”

just wondering if my experience with a really high heart rate is in fact common? Or should I actually be worried?
would it be okay for me to get pregnant again?

I know I should speak to a gp but not quite ready to take that step yet.

thank you!!
