I am nearly 7 weeks pregnant and last night I had a really intense burning sensation in my lower back and round the front of my tummy. It lasted for around 5/10 minutes and then went and then half an hour later had the same again for another 5/10 minutes. It's just made me feel worried that there is something wrong, I haven't had any bleeding or anything or any watery discharge just this intense burning sensation last night. I don't know whether it could of been trapped wind which caused the pain? As when I got up this morning I had quite a lot of wind (sorry for the TMI haha) or whether its something to worry about. Has anyone else suffered with this? Or have any ideas what it could be? We have an early scan next Tuesday but tempted to see if I can move it forward just to check everything is OK. xx

How are you feeling now?
During both my pregnancies I had quite a bit of cramping and felt really uncomfortable. The lower back pain was awful sometimes and also made me worry. The cramping was quite similar to period pains. Epu and the midwife said to keep an eye on it and if it got very painful or if bleeding started then to phone Epu.

Hi I am 7 weeks pregnant and am also experiencing this 'burning sensation' in my lower abdomen. I have cramps all over but I do have specific burning pain lower down on the lefthand side. It's quite constant. I have a private scan tomorrow as I have experienced loss previously. Hoping and praying everything is fine.

I really hope everything went ok for you today and your private scan was ok 🤞🏼❤️ xx

After posting my message on Thursday the pain intensified and I ended up calling 111 and had to go over to the hospital. I had a scan and thank goodness all was ok, they found a heartbeat and baby was in the right place so that put my mind at ease… until today where I’ve had some browny/bloody discharge 😩 I’m hoping it’s just part of the implantation process. Just going to keep an eye on it. It’s just non stop worrying isn’t it x

Fingers crossed all okay, it's good that they found the baby and it's little heart was beating. Have you asked anyone about the bleeding? I've heard sometimes you can bleed a little bit off a transvaginal scan afterwards and it normally harmless!! I have my scan in half an hour, my cramps have intensified too but don't know if that's just anxiety playing a trick on me!

Hope all is okay, keep us updated!!! ❤️

I haven’t asked anyone yet, I did google and it says it can be quite common so I’m just going to see how it goes, if it worsens or I start loosing blood I will go over to the epd. Just praying it’s implantation 🤞🏼 hope your scan goes well!!! Keep us posted with how it goes ❤️

Just had my private scan, all good, baby in the right place and measuring well. So very happy. She said that I have ovulated from left side that's why I have pain there as there's a corpus luteum cyst. Good to have an explanation for the pain/cramps on one side.
