Has anybody had a baby that was transverse at 31 weeks and then moved to be head down before birth? Thank you so much in advance.

Not transverse but my 3rd baby was breech at 34 weeks and was head down when I had another scan a week later

Thank you - that's good to know they can still turn so late on! I've been a bit worried she's going to run out of room to move into the right position as she gets bigger.

Yeah my second was transverse and turned around then. Turned to Breech unfortunately, but he still turned!

Thank you. How many weeks were you when he turned if you don't mind me asking?

I can't remember precisely but it was about the 30 week mark.

Transverse to head down at about 33 weeks I think. I did a lot of walking, some yoga and lots of enthusiastic bouncing on the birthing ball.

Thank you so much. I'm doing exactly the same so hopefully baby will cooperate!

Mine! She’s 17mo now and turned I think around 30-33 weeks (I can’t remember exactly now!). I was very worried about it, but in the end had a natural birth and all was well. I did some swimming but don’t know if that’s what did the job in the end.

Yep, lots of dancing! She soon moved around

MySerenity · 06/12/2023 20:50

They can turn at any point- I've seen babies turn during early labour

Yes, i was 37 weeks and he had been in transverse position for a couple of weeks, he turned in the car on the way to the consultant appointment, where she was going to decide whether to admit me to hospital if he hadnt moved. So happy days, hes 9 now 🙂

LucyInTheParkWithDragons · 06/12/2023 20:55

Yes… but then back again at 38 weeks. The second one stayed stubbornly transverse despite a tonne of spinning babies, walking + swimming.

My first was transverse at 31 weeks, breech at 34 weeks. I felt her turn at 35+4 to head down - that was one of the strangest sensations ever, like the biggest bunch of wiggles and then whoosh. But some babies turn and the mum doesn't know until scanned so defo varies, and you have plenty of time before need to worry!
