QEQM 12 week scan - Covid Test?!?

Hi!

I'm due a 12 week scan on Sunday at QEQM in Margate. I'm just wondering if anyone has had one there very recently - my letter says my partner needs a negative covid test which I'm amazed by- not even sure how to organise this at this point!

Has anyone had a scan here recently and did you need this?!

I can’t comment for that hospital specifically, but I had all my scans at Darent Valley so also in Kent and my letters said the exact same. I was never asked to show one! I did have to wear a mask during scans (beginning of this year) but wasn’t ever asked to show a Covid test

No idea about this hospital but all of my letters last year from King's (London) all said that too - plus info about wearing a mask and waiting to be called in etc - it was just that they hadn't updated the templates in two years or so. Never once got asked for a test and I can't imagine you would be.

No problem! I agree with PP it’s likely an old template they haven’t updated. I was asked to do a Covid test when I went in for induction (March this year) but they didn’t actually check the result, just asked me to confirm I had tested negative 🤦🏻‍♀️of course I could’ve said anything!

I've been to QEQM in the last few weeks and did not need a mask or a covid test, covid is officially over in the NHS (from what I've seen)

Thanks so much for this - I couldn't quite believe it when I read the letter but just thought ah standard QEQM 🤦‍♀️ 😂
