Clarithromycin and pregnancy

Hello just been described Clarithromycin for sinus/chest infection but stupidly Googled and freaked myself about taking them.

Currently 15 weeks pregnant, has anyone else taken them and turned out to be okay and no harm to the baby?

Did the person who prescribed them know that you were pregnant? Maybe call your surgery.

I would ask the Pharmacist. Clarithromycin is only recommended in pregnancy if there are no alternatives. Have you got a penicillin allergy?

Yes allergic to penicillin
