6 DPO BFP is this normal?

Hi All,

I've had 2 pregnancy tests. I'm CD 21, 6 dpo, 8/9 days for the first day of my next period. I have long cycles and have pcos. I'm regular and naturally have a lot of follicles every month. I was diagnosed with an ovarian cyst as well. I had intercouse with my husband CD15 and CD17.

I've been pregnant before with a singleton and I've only ever got the faint positive 2 days before my period was due. So this time it's different.

I've been getting implantation cramps and I'm feeling the symptoms already. I'm very sensitive and had hyperemesis gravidarum first time around starting at 5 weeks.

I don't know what to make of it, I'm scared it might be an ectopic pregnancy, or is it the cyst, or is it multiples, or is it normal?

Also I know I'm 6 dpo because I was tracking it with the ovulation strips.

The clearblue test is showing 1-2 weeks.

Thanks

Did you have intercourse before CD15&17?

Yes we did on CD7. CD12 we were out and walking around for hours, I felt very crampy but put it down to just a lot of walking. I'm wondering now if I ovulated twice maybe and only started tracking the second one, is this a possibility? Because I don't think sperm survives 8 days.

I’m no expert but if I was to give you my best guess it would be that you got pregnant at around CD7, I did my first pregnancy. LH can surge without actual ovulation due to a range of different reasons, and with some ovulation tests they will pick up HCG as well as LH.

I’d also say you conceived earlier. 6dpo wouldn’t show on a test yet, it’s the earliest you could implant so definitely wouldn’t be showing, especially not on the weeks indicator. Congratulations

I'm thinking this is more likely now. I suppose want to put myself at ease that's it's ectopic, I'll just have to wait for the ultrasound when they can date it.

With ectopic I got faint positives at a later date, not early positives (my experience).
I expect you conceived earlier than you thought. Congrats xx
