When did you end up going into labour if you had an emergency stitch placed?

Are your children’s vaccines up to date?

@Floralsandsmiles I had stitch removed last week at 37 weeks and still waiting to go into labour ☺️🤗 I deff thought it would trigger it and baby would be here by now but she’s hanging in there, I’ll keep u updated x

Hi I had a planned stitch a long time ago. It was removed at 36 weeks and I went into labour at 41 weeks! Very strange! (I was expecting it to just “pop” open when stitch was removed - But apparently the pressure moves off the cervix as baby grows???). I did however go from 5cm dilation to having baby in about 20 mins so it was a fairly quick labour!

Ooo thank you for this, that's longer than I thought it would last after stitch was taken out! And such a quick labour, I will be praying for that! Lol xxx

Aww congrats! Did your stitch get taken out at 37 weeks? So you had your baby girl a week later? Xxxx

Just to update. I had my stitch out at 36 weeks and my baby finally arrived on her due date 16/1 🙂

O wow, so you went a further 4 weeks! Thats the longest I've seen! I normally see ladies lasting a week after the stitch is out.. a massive congratulations to you! Xxx
