Can I have 2 scans in a week?

I had my private internal scan yesterday as I couldn't wait until 7 weeks for NHS to see me. I have my NHS scan on Monday, both internal scans, is it safe to do this? Nothing comes up on google to say no but I'm not sure whether to call and postpone for a few days but they wanted to see me...

There's no radiation so I can't see why not but someone more knowledgeable might advise differently sorry.

Why are the NHS scanning you at 7 weeks?

Of course it is! When I was in hospital in early pregnancy they scanned me everyday 😊

I imagine due to previous miscarriage or complications. I had early scans with all of my pregnancies after my first miscarriage until one finally stuck.

I had 2 a week for the last 6 weeks of my first pregnancy. Every Tuesday and Friday. The last week I had them 4 days in a row until they decided to induce.

Yes, it's fine. Ultrasound scans are considered very low risk.

It's fine. I had IVF with my second pregnancy which caused OHSS. I had multiple scans for the first two weeks after my positive pregnancy test to check fluid levels, my ovaries, and eventually the sac, fetal pole, heartbeat etc. Then I had a seven week scan at the hospital before they discharged me followed by another scan the following day at the IVF hospital.

There's no risk, don't worry.
