Thank you! I've now been sent home on a higher dose of medication and complete bed rest.. I've got an induction booked for next Thursday. Blood pressure is mostly keeping under the 140/90 now but the medication makes me feel a bit rubbish tbh.. Final stretch now!

Ah that's good, sounds like things are under control and it's good that you have a date for induction. As you say, the final stretch!

@ThirdTimeLucky27 how's everything going

Thanks for asking! I'm going in for induction tomorrow morning.. Absolutely terrified. Blood pressure has stayed mainly in normal range on 800mg labetalol daily and complete bed rest. Made it to 37 weeks Smile

Good luck! Just think, this time tomorrow you and baby will be all ok. And it will all be over. Phew!

Hope you’re in and out quickly.

ThirdTimeLucky27 · 07/12/2023 14:21

Thank you all so much! Just had my first examination, I am 2-3cm dilated already 🙄 No need for any hormones, they're going straight to breaking my waters!

I had my waters broken at 37 weeks and progressed fine. You've got this 👏🏼 hope it's as smooth and quick as possible

Great to hear! Did you need the hormone drip?x

I did after a while and kept it on the lowest level, baby was taking his sweet time and I was adamant I would rather do that than risk intervention or c section. Was a personal choice for me as I was adamant he was coming out naturally (he did, no forceps or intervention)

Thank you. I'm happy to wait as long as it takes. Original plan was 24 hour pessary so I'm glad to be avoiding that Smile

Aww I bet your excited. Please please keep me updated. All the best babes.

Great to hear that things are happening already. I think high blood pressure can actually help labour along. Good luck!

ThirdTimeLucky27 · 13/12/2023 13:36

Thanks all.. Baby girl was born at 1.07am on the 8th December. Had waters broken around 4pm. Contractions started around 11.30pm whilst waiting to be put on the drip. I'd asked for an epidural before the drip but the doctors were called away for an emergency c section. Doctors came in again around 1am to do the epidural, by that point contractions were intense. They got me all prepped and even had the needle in my back, as I announced it's too late she's about to be born 🙄 They helped me onto my back and with one push she was there. It was intense but overall very positive ♥️
