Bleeding throughout pregnancy (hematoma) stories

Hi,
I'm wondering if there's anyone who has bleed heavily within their pregnancy and how things turned out/how things are going?

I know no one can give me medical advise but I'm just hoping to see some stories similar to what im experiencing- TIA.
I had some bleeding earlier in pregnancy (7-11weeks) but it was never more than filling a few pads a day for a few days and they couldn't see a reason. I then stopped having any bleeding until 17 weeks. Last week I started bleeding very heavily (tmi - soaked pad and both layers of clothes within 30mins) so I was admitted to hospital. However, cervix was closed and baby was okay but they did find a blood clot on the scan which they think is the cause for my bleeding. The bleeding eased up but I have continued bleeding fairly heavily since then + passed some tissue/clots. The blood is quite thick and dark which I've read means it's old blood but I'm quite concerned about how much I've been losing over the past week. The hospital told me to go back if I bled as heavily as I did last week but it's not that bad. Apart from that I wasn't given any advice and they barely mentioned it 😅I've contacted my midwife asking who I should contact about my concerns so I'm waiting for a response when she gets back to work. Unfortunately all the help where I an seems to only be for if you're over 20 weeks. I have my 20 week scan mid December so I'm hoping that'll give me some reassurance baby is okay. In the meantime I'm just curious on others experiences with this/something similar.

I had very heavy bleeding, was evacuated off a ferry at 5 weeks and admitted to hospital, bled again at about 10 weeks and again about 16-18 weeks. I was admitted to hospital twice and lost over a pint at weeks 5 and 16 in about 15 mins (but my cervix had partially opened on both occasions and I passed a fist sized clot at 16 weeks). The bleed at 10 weeks wasn’t so bad - still a pad or 2 but not pouring out like the other 2 occasions. I was basically told to not do much and they didn’t know what was causing it. I did stop bleeding after the 18 week bleed and been fine since - I’m now 36 weeks. Haven’t had any lasting issues, the baby is fine and my iron levels are good too.

It was very frustrating not knowing what was causing it, when it would stop or if it was going to cause a miscarriage but all you can do is rest, hope (and don’t google - easier said than done). Hoping you have a positive outcome. X

I had very heavy bleeding in the first trimester and continued spotting throughout my first and less dramatic bleeding in my third pregnancy. The first was due to a clot. Not sure why with the third. Both are healthy teenagers now. Good luck!
