Can't stop eating 20 weeks pregnant?

I feel very hungry the past few weeks, I'm eating a lot of rubbish and eating big portions
I was not like this with my first pregnancy I actually had no appetite the whole pregnancy
This scares me as weight gain affects my mood quite drastically:(

If I remember rightly in the third trimester I could not bare the "full" feeling so hardly ate so I'm hoping this hungry phase doesn't last too long

I try eating healthy whole meals with lots of protein, fibre veg but I'm hungry again soon after

I do eat alot of fruit and veg so my diet itself is healthy but it's the amount I'm eating and the snacking at night I'm worried about :(

Will this hunger ease ?

Did you have sickness early on? I had this big time with my first after 6 weeks off constant sickness/nausea finally eased. And with my second I also had increased appetite then but not quite as extreme (didn't have sickness that time). Both times, the extra hunger subsided by the 3rd trimester.

Every pregnancy is different and can have varying symptoms, but if you're body is telling you you're hungry then it's best to listen to it.

I had huge babies both times and was ravenous in pregnancy! Put on 20kg with both but lost it in the first 3 months of breastfeeding. I would listen to your body as it knows what it means!

I will be breastfeeding again so I'm hoping my body is just storing fat to use for milk making!
