• Just wanted some opinions I am ttc I normally have regular periods 28 day cycle they are always very heavy & very painful this month I got sore boobs quite earlier than I normally do before period and also my who breast was sore it’s normally just underneath on the 12th of Nov I had sudden brown spotting my period is due the 22nd of November it then stopped after a few days 2/3 I then had brown spotting on the 21st & very sharp pains in ovary area but not tummy pains which are normally extreme then today on the 22nd I would still call it spotting but more redder than brown now my boobs are tiny but sure but not as & haven’t been for a few days what’s your thoughts x

Sorry but it’s really hard to tell if it’s implantation spotting or not. Pregnancy and period symptoms are very similar so can be hard to tell the difference.

Have you tried taking a pregnancy test? It would show positive by now.
It might sadly be an irregular period this month, have you been unwell or stressed?

Hi thanks for the reply no everything has been normal as any other so not to sure still no sign of period yet the app I use says test In 3 days if it don’t show so was gonna go by then but will post update thank you again xx

Apps just work based on an algorithm. If you were due your period on the 22nd then it’s already late. A pregnancy test would show a positive result by now so best to check.

Sadly I have had a couple of instances of just spotting. Brown blood is old blood that’s taken a little while to come out. After speaking to a gp they said it’s likely an irregular period and can happen from time to time. The following month my period returned as normal.

Best thing to do is to test and find out.
