Do you dare from lmp or known ovulation?

Hi all, I'm pregnant. First time I've said that to anyone, eeek. By my LMP I'm 5w2d but I know I ovulated on the Friday (DTD thurs night) which makes me 4w6d.

Do you always go by your LMP even if you know ovulation was later? I'm just wondering when I know I'm out of the woods for a chemical. Thanks!

LMP, then when you go for a dating scan if you’re a bit off for ovulation not being on day 14, your due date will get adjusted.

The NHS calculator allows you to put in your cycle length which will automatically adjust for that too and amend the due date too.

Congratulations!

The NHS will go off your lmp because many people don’t know their exact date of ovulation, but personally for anything relating to working out due date, risk of chemical etc I used the date of ovulation because that’s the one that’s more likely to be accurate and is what everything will be adjusted to after your scan anyway. Definitely if you’re thinking about when you’re no longer at risk of a chemical, I’d use the ovulation date because your period is actually due 3 days later than your lmp would suggest based on a 28 day cycle.

My midwife always used LMP but in my head I would use the day I ovulated as I know it was 3 days later. Then when I had my dating scan my due date got pushed back by those 3 days anyway.
