Hi everyone, I found out I’m pregnant last week on day 25 of my cycle, I tend to have early ovulation. I’m currently 4+5 after having 2 miscarriages earlier this year, 1st in jan at 6weeks with the most horrendous cramping and bleeding and then had a blighted ovum at the end of may at 8weeks. I had a D&C with that and they found out I was resus negative so gave me a shot of anti d, has anyone else found this helped them have a successful pregnancy after miscarriage? I feel like pregnancy should be such a happy time but I’m really anxious about losing another baby we so long for. Thanks for any advice

Hi, I had two miscarriages. I took low dose baby aspirin for the third and I'll never know if this helped. I was convinced I'd miscarry again but at the age of almost 41, I had a an easy pregnancy. I really hope for.the same outcome for you x

I had three miscarriages between DS and DD. I can honestly say I didn’t enjoy my pregnancy with DD at all, I was stressed all the way through. I freaked out over every little twinge. But DD is now nearly two and very vocal next to me as I write this. I took every precaution during the pregnancy with DD, avoided every possible thing that could potentially pose a risk, ate impeccably and made sure I rested. I wouldn’t stress about enjoying it, just look after yourself the best you can. Hugs xxx

@CMG92 If it is not too triggering for you, could I ask what happened with your blighted ovum? I think this might be happening to me now.

I went to a scan and there was no heartbeat and a more or less empty sac. I need to go for another scan. But I have still have the normal pregnancy symptoms and not had any bleeding.

Sending you lots of good luck for you full term and easy pregnancy!

I have previously had 4 early miscarriages and 1 successful pregnancy so understand the worry during early pregnancy. I had genetic testing done on my last miscarriage in February and I was told that they had Trisomy 4 which means there are 3 chromosomes on the strand instead of 2. The doctor told me that Trisomy’s are extremely common in early miscarriage but because they don’t test unless you have recurrent miscarriages, mothers aren’t given answers as to why they miscarry. I guess what I’m saying is, don’t blame yourself for anything, nature will do it’s thing and your body will know if an embryo is viable or not and if there are genetic abnormalities it will likely miscarry. I always imagined after all of my miscarriages that I had lost a perfectly formed baby and it was somehow my fault that my body didn’t do it’s job properly, but after finding out that the embryo was carrying an abnormality that would mean the baby would be very unlikely to survive and have severe deformities if it did then it almost brought me comfort that my body was actually working properly after all and recognising that the pregnancy wasn’t viable early on to save future heartache. I know this isn’t exactly what you asked but just hoped it might help you not to worry too much as your body will know when a pregnancy is viable and you will grow a healthy little bundle of joy like I eventually did, it’s just sad for those of us that have to experience the ones that don’t make it that far. I wish you all the best in your pregnancy and hope your little one grows healthy and strong 🤍

Hey @CMG92 ,
looks like we are in similar situations. I am currently 5+2, had a MMC in December at 9 weeks (D&C), and a chemical In July.
im unbelievably anxious and symptom spotting galore! Are my boobs sore enough? Do I feel sick? Should I feel more sick? Am I pregnancy tired or just normal tired!?
Don't have any advice, just letting you know you are not alone!

I had one mmc in July, and this pregnancy has been a stressful one from the very start. The only way I could get through it was to pay for early pregnancy scans, so I had one at 7 weeks and 10 weeks, and they were also emotional because I was so worried.

Good luck with your pregnancy, hope it all goes well.

Thanks everyone for all your comments, I think it’s just a case of me having an early scan to put my mind at ease, however that would be just before Xmas so if it’s not good news going to be rubbish end to the year!
@KenGirl I had some bleeding not much on the Monday and when I went for a private scan 2 days later there was just an empty womb. I went back 2 days later and they scanned again and still the same however the sac was still growing as it should just nothing inside. I had the D&C a few days later and as soon as I woke up the nausea had gone which was the only relief I took from the miscarriage as I was so poorly with hg. Wishing you all the luck and keeping everything crossed for you x
