This is a positive pregnancy post , because it's bloody tough growing a human!

But what will you miss from pregnancy???

Mine is massages from DP. Not sure I can wrangle one every night like I do now after pregnancy haha 😅

I miss not having DC so I can laze about in the evening rather than doing toothbrushing and general bedtime frenzy. I mean they're lovely but I would die for 2 mins on my own.

Emsxox · 22/11/2023 13:35

I’ll miss not eating whatever I want whenever I want lol. Won’t miss the backache though! Think I’ll miss having my son on his own too as will have two to look after come January xx

Silverfoxlady · 22/11/2023 17:24

I will miss how good my cravings taste - loving seaweed and salmon and potato salad and salt/vinegar chips. Also, being super emotional means I am enjoying music and films a little more (but not watching horror!).

legalseagull · 22/11/2023 18:26

I miss kicks. I'll never feel that again

Mushroo · 22/11/2023 18:33

Really not a lot 😂

But in the spirit of being positive - being able to wear nice fitted dresses that show off my stomach without worrying about it being flat!

Also my hair is lovely right now.

TolkiensFallow · 22/11/2023 18:33

having really good skin

CatMadam · 22/11/2023 18:46

I've always been self-conscious of my stomach, but when I’m pregnant I wear whatever I want and feel great! Even now, second time round - when I look like an enormous blueberry with legs 😁- i like wearing tighter clothes than I’d wear when not pregnant. And the kicks!

FindingMeno · 22/11/2023 18:59

It's a long time since I was pregnant but I miss the feeling special and people being nice to you.

The kicks

Mamato29192 · 22/11/2023 20:19

I'll miss the kicks

MissingGrandstand · 22/11/2023 20:23

Literally nothing. My positivity to add to this post is I don't miss it, it was a short term thing in the grand scheme of things, and I don't miss being pregnant a jot. One of the added worries I had whilst miserable and pregnant was that I'd regret feeling so miserable if I missed the kicks etc., but happy to report I have no regrets!

Did lose some much needed weight though, and haven't regained it in 2 years, so that's a plus!

TheKnittedCharacter · 22/11/2023 20:26

I had really easy pregnancies and didn’t put on much weight so was never uncomfortable. I missed everything about it. But mostly the kicks. Lying in the bath every evening at seeing a foot, or a hand, and I used to tap my wedding ring finger on the side of the bath to make the baby jump! It’s such a special time.

DuploTrain · 22/11/2023 20:45

I’m a very cold person generally but am quite nice and toasty when I’m pregnant… that’s about it though.

Autumn1990 · 22/11/2023 20:49

I miss the kicks The foot or hand pushing out and knowing what time the kicking and punching would start every night!

ThomasinaLivesHere · 22/11/2023 21:21

I get to work from home full time which is much easier and relaxing. Plus I save lots of money from travelling.

I’m not as cold as much.

Kicking and movements can be nice.

Hair is thicker though I expect it to fall out later on.

YouJustDoYou · 22/11/2023 21:22

Er, nothing? No positives to being pregnant.

Yeah this is literally it for me too.

Random people on the street congratulating me is nice too but can't say it's something I'll actively miss.

Everything else is crap but I'm 9 days overdue so I think I'm just over it now.

GloomySkies · 22/11/2023 21:26

I tried really hard to be grateful when I was pregnant but frankly I hated everything about it and don't miss a thing. I have two lovely DC who I much prefer outside of my body to inside!

BeingATwatItsABingThing · 22/11/2023 21:30

Completely agree with those saying they like showing off their stomach! Me too. I am a lover of oversized jumpers to hide my chub normally but I wear tight tops when I’m pregnant because I don’t feel self-conscious for once!

I will also miss the little kicks and the excitement of meeting my new baby.

This is pregnancy 3 and DH and I have agreed it’s our last so I’m trying to just enjoy it.

Exactly this and of course feeling the movements in my tummy

Chaitales · 22/11/2023 21:34

I miss the kicks!

Also, the fact that the kids can't argue. They can kick, but it's cute, but argue? Nope.

Unexpectedlysinglemum · 22/11/2023 21:47

I missed feeling him kick inside me and knowing only I could feel him in there- our special bond, before he was out and met the rest of the world.

I also miss my huge boobs!

onawave · 22/11/2023 21:59

I miss eating whatever I want. The way I looked in maternity tops (oddly flattering).
And the kicks. My eldest is going through a kicking phase and it's a lot less pleasant when they are 2 years old and kicking you.

Screwballs · 23/11/2023 10:17

You lot are making me feel way better. Im only 17 weeks, so im not showing yet, no more than like ive had a large meal, Im not feeling owt yet, I have to pee 2-3 times a night, I am shattered all the time. And I cant drink. I like a drink.

Its not to say Im not upbeat, I am, but seriously, its not exactly fun is it!

Also, when I wake up for one of my many urgent, yet miniscule pees, sat on the toilet feeling like I can barely open my eyes, I wonder how TF im gonna cope with a baby up all night.

Im not sure Im cut out for any of this but Im told its too late for the morning after pill.
