A couple years ago I reached 42 weeks of pregnancy with my son and was induced. I had a few sweeps, then my waters were broken and I was put on a syntocin drip. My son was born 4h later.

It was a very intense, very painful experience and now I'm pregnant with my second, I'm wondering what my next experience of childbirth will be like.

I initially assumed that my labour was so quick because of the induction, but my midwife made a comment that made me question this and I'm wondering now whether it was just my body?

I'd love to hear from other mothers who had an induction similar to mine- how long were you in labour for? What was your experience?
And if you had another child, was there any correlation between the duration of your two labors? Even if one was a more natural labour?

Should I prepare for another quick birth? Even if I (hopefully) go into labour naturally this time!
