Should I tell my work?
I am only 4weeks2days. Only just found out I am pregnant.
Today I was told that because the teamleader of a different team is leaving, I will be moving to that team. They did not say I would be teamleader of that team as such but told me this was an opportunity for me to step up. I will definitely be the one with the most experience on that team.

You don’t have to tell them until 15 weeks before your due date. Unless you need to tell them for specific health and safety reasons (working wi the dangerous chemicals etc) I wouldn’t be telling them for a little while yet

I would definitely wait.

Don’t tell them until you really have to - you are showing or 15 weeks before due date. They will discriminate even if it’s subconscious. I actually held off when I was pregnant as I was overdue a promotion and didn’t want to give them another excuse to delay it. Got the promo and so glad I didn’t say anything before. Show them what you can do, of course you might feel sick etc, take time off sick to rest and when you reveal your pregnancy you can explain these days retrospectively. Good luck

Hold off telling anyone at work until you are settled in the new team. If that turns out to be as team leader then great, and if it doesn't, then at least you won't wonder if it was because of the pregnancy.

The only way you will KNOW work didn't discriminate based on pregnancy is if you KNOW that they were unaware of it.

For this reason I didn't tell my work I was pregnant untiI I was 20 weeks pregnant with twins! Just kept dressing smartly, standing tall, behaving exactly as normal which was bloody hard as I was knackered!
