How far along would I be?

Hey all, I've just today found out I'm pregnant. 2-3 weeks on clearblue. However I haven't much clue how far along I am.. I've irregular cycles. Can be anywhere from 40-70 days. My last cycle was 9th october.. if I got 2-3 on cb would I be 5 weeks ? And would I just use my period date for counting? I had text book cycles when trying for my DD. So confused

Technically the level of hormone detected by the clear blue would put you at 4-5 weeks x

I had really long cycles with my first and NHS still went off LMP so I got my 12 weeks scan at 9 weeks and then went back a few weeks later for a proper 12 week scan

Yes, you're likely 4-5 weeks pregnant based on clearblue. But you use your lmp for dating until you have your dating scan.

Thanks ladies for all replies. Going by my LMP 9th Oct.. I'm 5 weeks today.. i done a CB digital on saturday which said 'not pregnant' then got one today saying 2-3.. Is there a chance my dates going to add up quite close? If 2-3 means 4-5wks & my LMP was exactly 5 weeks ago today? Sounds like a pretty 'normal' cycle, doesn't it?:-/

Did you do the Saturday test with FMU?

I would say that might put you closer to 4 weeks, if the digital test was negative on Saturday (which means less than 25mU detected. 2-3 weeks is 150+)

This Saturday @coulditbe2323 ? That's a hell of a jump if so! I'd be worried about multiples personally 😅

@ASGIRC Yes saturday past 2days ago.. I done a clear blue digital with FMU & it came up not pregnant. Crazy I know :O then thought I was having ovulation pain all day yesterday.. but obviously it was that little bean burying itself 🤭

@XenaTheWarriorPrincess my DH side of the fam has about 3 sets of twins lol so I can't rule it out🫣

@coulditbe2323 Thats quite the jump! But if you were negative on Saturday, id say you are closer to 4 weeks than to 5!
I would be trying to get a blood hCG test to see how it is evolving.

@coulditbe2323 how exciting! Fraternal twins come from the maternal side, but can happen based on age as well, or just because, and identical twins happen randomly.

I would recommend getting blood hcg tests at the gp though and possibly early scan when you hit around 6 weeks. Definitely do not want to scaremonger but high rising hcg can indicate things other than multiples as well, and best to rule that out.
