Early scan 5+6 what to expect?

I have an early scan booked in for Thursday when I'll be 5+6. I'm having an early one as part of the fertility treatment we did.

Has anyone had one this early and know what I should expect? Will there be a heartbeat, or will it be just a sac visable?

Most places won't scan that early, as unlikely to be a heartbeat. I wouldn't get one til at least 8 weeks as you'd know for sure either way by that point.

@AnnieStar12 I had one at 6+1 and we could see a heartbeat x

Yes I've had early scans with all 3 of my ivf babies. We saw fetal poles and heartbeat every time at 6+0, give or take a day or so. Definitely not guaranteed, but very reassuring if you do get heartbeat. Good luck.
