High HCg level, empty gestational sac, 5w + 2d

Hi I wonder if anyone else has experienced anything similar.

I went to hospital yesterday at 5+2 weeks because I had bled in the morning, it was fresh, bright red blood. It wasn't loads but it was more than spotting.

They did my bloods and my HCg levels were at 15,000 (they said this was very high and thought I might be further along than I thought but I knew I couldn't be).
I instantly thought possible multiples.

I went for a scan and the gestational sac was detected. They said it was a bit bigger and was the size of a 6 week sac. They couldn't detect a fetus after looking for ages and also doing a transvaginal scan.

When I got home, I had some brown coffee grind-like stuff when I wiped and have been lightly spotting since.

I also feel possibly less pregnant? Like my boobs hurt a little less (still a bit sensitive though) and I'm less nauseous. But I am still getting tired very quickly throughout the day.

I don't have another scan booked in until another 10 days so it's a long wait. I just wonder if anyone has had a similar experience? Even if it was bad news, I'd like to hear other perspectives.

Thanks so much

Currently the same is happening to me, I’ve no yok Sack visible, they said might be to early, hcg is high also. Really worried. Hopefully good news for us xx

If it makes you feel better, when I miscarried at 6 weeks the ultrasound showed an empty gestational sac but my hcg levels were 232...
So hopefully everything is fine for the both of you and it was just too early to see anything else x I would go again next week or closer to 7 weeks if you're able to hold off.
Best of luck x

Thank you.
I've since read on other threads that many people have gone on to have healthy babies after the same experience. The high HCg is a positive sign. Wishing you both all the best xx

@Ker32 thank you so much. I had my scan. There's a baby in there, heartbeat and all. Do you have another scan booked or when will you get another update? I hope you're okay and wishing the best for you x
