Light bleeding 6 weeks pregnant - advice please!

I'm just 6 weeks pregnant. Last night about 11pm I had some blood when I wiped, light red blood. It wasn't a lot and not really visible in the toilet or anything. Since then there's just been a tiny bit of brown blood, slept (barely) with a pad in and there's a tiny smidgen of brown nothing else over 8 hours.

I've had 2 miscarriages, (neither of which started like this!) But I'm still very concerned. I've rung the midwife who just said to monitor and ring back if it gets any worse and my doctors are closed today.

Should I be panicking? Positive stories would be good right now 😓

Absolutely do not panic. I had the same thing at 8 weeks, bright red blood and two clots, and was absolutely convinced I'd miscarried. I went for a scan and they showed me the heartbeat and all was fine. She's now a very healthy, nearly 5 year old. They said sometimes it just happens and they can't really explain why. It sounds like you haven't had a huge amount of bleeding so hopefully you're ok. Try and relax and don't stress too much as that might make it worse. Hopefully you'll be able to get booked in for an early reassurance scan.

@Jb2182 thank you for replying. No it hasn't been much bleeding and it's stopped now. It's frustrating that I can't do anything until the doctors open on Monday. I'm hoping for an early scan and progesterone as I have a history of miscarriages.

Hi, I'm 7 weeks and 4 days,on progesterone as it's an IVF pregnancy and I had the same thing happen yesterday afternoon, went EPU this morning and all fine but no idea where the bleed has come from. I'm starting to think the IVF meds are just making everything more sensitive but yes, still scary

We decided to come to A&E in the end, been examined and they said no obvious miscarriage. Just waiting on blood results then they'll give us a scan on Tuesday.

Bloods looking good, they are going to scan Tuesday and give me progesterone!
