I know this is a bit taboo.

FTM, 3 months post partum and I’m just getting my first period. Is it common for it to be really painful cramp wise? Also don’t remember there being this much blood!

@RGxo13 mime was quite heavier than it use to be and got really bad cramps but now it has gone back to have it use to be and I had my twins in July

Mine was very light and easy, it came 9 months post partum. I've always heard that the first one after baby is really heavy and painful though so I think I just got lucky.

12 months pp and just got mine 2 days ago.

Normal ish period. Hate it anyway

8 months pp (I bf). Much worse than pre children.

But also I was camping and it was when places were only partially open during the pandemic. 0*. Would not recommend that experience

Mine felt like if I stood up my uterus might fall out... it was bad! Settled down to a degree after a few months.

It's not unusual, but having said that, keep an eye on it (if you flood a pad in an hour etc).
It should settle down over the next few cycles but if it doesn't see your GP.

Mine were heavier and defo more painful for the first few months after my first child was born, they did return back to normal fairly soon though x
