Antiphospholipid Syndrome Chemical Pregnancies

Hi,
Just looking for some advice or reassurance please. I've had four chemical pregnancies and having had lots of tests and a hydrosalpinx removal I've been diagnosed with antiphospholipid syndrome . However, having talked to a different clinic than the one that has diagnosed me (Hassan Shehata) they have told me that antiphospholipid syndrome can't cause recurrent miscarriages, he's recently wrote a paper/study on it. I've been advised to go on aspirin and heparin as soon as I have a positive test from the clinic that has diagnosed me but I'm high risk for an ectopic pregnancy and don't want to start the treatment if it isn't the cause/won't help prevent my miscarriages. Very confused and losing hope. Any advice would be really appreciated.Thankyou x

I have been researching reasons for early miscarriage since my MMC very recently and I believe AS can indeed cause recurrent miscarriages if left untreated but please dont take me at my word because I am not medically trained.

@Soph903 how did you get on?

Hi! I've actually just given birth to our baby boy on 6th August! I went straight onto heparin and aspirin and continued it for the whole of my pregnancy so it must've been the APS causing our losses.

@Soph903 congratulations that is such lovely news, love a positive success story! Can I just ask how soon did you start the heparin from when you got a positive pregnancy test?

Thankyou, yes of course happy to answer any questions. I started as soon as possible I think it was roughly 4 days after the positive test. I stopped the aspirin at 36 weeks but continued with the heparin until my waters broke. I was due to have a planned csection as they don't let you go over your due date with APS but he came early!
