Fetal heart rate at 7 weeks

If you had a scan at 7 weeks, what was the heart rate measured?

Mine was 110 yesterday at 7w1d and Google is split between that being normal at this stage or too low and an indicator of miscarriage.

I had a scan at what I thought was 7 weeks exactly, she said I was measuring 7+2 and just said it was a really strong heart beat so all was looking good. She never said what the actual rate was though. I’ve got my 12 week scan on Friday so hoping she was right and it’s all ok in there!

I’d check with your midwife, do you have an appointment soon?

I had a scan at 7+4. It was twins. One was 140 and one was 105. I lost one about a week later. I had always assumed until recently that it was the 105. I looked at my reports recently and nope. The 105 is now two years old and we lost the 140 heartrate.

(One was on the left and one was on the right of the uterus so easy to tell).

Sorry to hear you lost a twin. Thank you for sharing, that's really interesting and has given me some hope.

I don't think 110 is low for 7 weeks? It's well within the normal range.

That's what I thought initially, then a lot of studies online saying that 126 should be the minimum at 7 weeks. I shouldn't have Googled!

No you shouldn't have and rest assured that 110bpm is absolutely fine. Also they would have told you if it was on the low side at the time. From next week, it should then start to increase.
To be honest they have never measured the heart rate at any of my scans until the 12 week one.
Good luck with your pregnancy!
