Hi everyone
so last week I unfortunately miscarried at 5w3d. It’s hit me pretty hard - I seem to hear or read stories where people get pregnant again within weeks and carry to full term. I’d love to hear some stories if this is you to boost my mood.

I'm so sorry you're going through this OP 😔 It's truly a horrible and traumatic thing to experience.

I had two first trimester miscarriages about 5 months apart, got pregnant a month after my 2nd and that pregnancy went to full term with no complications. DS is now nearly 3 and I'm currently 25 weeks with DC2.

Be kind to yourself and allow yourself space to process. Sending lots of love ❤️

Thanks so much @Lottie917 this is wonderful to hear!! I just need to keep improving my mood with others positive stories!! I found myself reading a lot of negativity on here prior to the mc and promised now only good vibes!

It is very hard but I miscarried at 6 weeks and got pregnant again quickly, about 2 months later. I had no problems with second pregnancy at all and DD is now 27! Good luck 💐

I had a missed miscarriage at 7 weeks (discovered at 9 weeks). Let my body do its thing and pass it. Had one normal period afterwards and then caught with my son the month after.

Prior to the miscarriage it would taken us 8/9 months to conceive.

Sorry you've gone through this. Miscarriage truly sucks.

So sorry op, it’s just the worst experience. I miscarried at 7+2 earlier this year. Got pregnant again a couple of months later and am now 28 weeks - no issues this time around. I’ll never forget the lost baby but still so excited for this one ❤️ Xx

I've had three miscarriages (blighted ovum MMC, MMC after seeing a heartbeat and an IVF chemical) and am now 13 weeks pregnant. Feels like a miracle. This baby was conceived the month after the chemical. I hope you get your rainbow soon! :)

I had an early miscarriage then got pregnant 2 months later, she just turned 9 months. People do say you are more fertile after. Though it is important to feel mentally ready as well. Hope it all goes well for you xx

I had a miscarriage at a similar time to you. Had a cycle then got pregnant again the following cycle and am currently 31 weeks 😊

Sorry for your loss. I took some comfort at the time in knowing that a lot had gone right just to get that point where you conceive and implant.

We had a miscarriage at 9w…my wife was pregnant about 3 months later. DD is now 3 and lovely…most of the time!

Our close friends had a very traumatic mc at 25w…just gave birth to twins at the weekend. That is a handful!

Fitz1987 · 06/11/2023 18:15

Sorry to hear about your loss OP. I had a missed miscarriage at 13 weeks. Fell pregnant within 2 months of trying and currently rocking my 3 month old baby to sleep while I type this.

Tisfortired · 06/11/2023 18:16

I’m really sorry for your loss. It’s not just the physical loss but the imagined life you would have that is snatched away and it can feel like a real grief. Your sadness is valid, take care of yourself.

I had DS1, then 3 consecutive MCs at 8, 5 and 9 weeks. After the 3rd loss I got pregnant again very quickly (didn’t even have a period I don’t think) and DS2 is is a strapping 10 month old! I never thought it would happen but it did. Sending hugs and good luck.

Thank you so much everyone I love reading your stories you give me so much hope and positivity 🌈 x

I'm sorry for your loss, it's horrid. I conceived within a couple of months of my MC at 11 wks, I don't think that's uncommon. The pregnancy was successful, and my DS is now 7.

Jewelspun · 06/11/2023 18:59

I had two miscarriages before going on how have children who are now all adults.

Crazycat53 · 06/11/2023 19:01

Sorry to hear of your loss op. I had misscarriage after ttc for 13 months. I fell pregnant a month later with Ds who is now 14 then Dd 3 years later without any problems.

PointyMcguire · 06/11/2023 19:18

Try not to focus too heavily on those that got pregnant straight away/within weeks, or those that say you’re most fertile in the 3 months following a miscarriage, obviously it does happen, and it’s heartening to hear if it happens for you, but if it doesn’t it can leave you stressing there’s something wrong or worrying it won’t happen for you.

I miscarried at just shy of 7wks last year, I put so much pressure on myself during the 3 months that followed not only because of the “most fertile“ anecdotes, but also because I was rapidly approaching my 35th birthday so was doubly stressed. I finally got my positive almost 5 months after my miscarriage, she’s now 10mths old.
