I wondered if I'm overreacting?

I'm 26 weeks and I've had thrush so been using a 6 night course of pessaries with tonight being the last night. I'm not using the applicator but I just couldn't get it up there tonight and got really dry and just couldn't find my hole! (sorry if tmi!) and had to pull it out to try again. When I pulled it out there was some bright red blood on it. I wondered if I've maybe just scratched or torn myself?

It's freaked me out a bit as I've not seen blood there since I had a MC :-(

I'm still feeling plenty kicks?

Probably just irritated your cervix especially after days of pessaries. Were you prescribed them? My pharmacy won't sell them to me without prescription while pregnant and have only been given on at a time from doctors, tho that seems to work for me im guessing others may need more. I'd keep an eye on it but I'd say it's likely irritation. I bled a lot from the outside of my vagina having paper cut type cuts during thrush x

@Ttcmumma prescription yes. I've suffered recurrent thrush! I don't think I got it far enough to touch my cervix that's why I'm wondering if I did just scratch myself. I will keep an eye on it

I think just having the pessarie work in there can irritate any of it. Nothing harmful we are just more sensitive and lots more blood flow at the time, especially as you get dry with the pessaries. Obviously always call midwife if you can't settle but keep a eye, if you get no more blood and no cramping I reckon it is irritation/ as you say you've scratched yourself or something. Fingers crossed for you, glad you can feel lots of kicks! X

Dry with thrush, sorry my brain can't keep up with my typing sometimes

I'm doing pessaries for progesterone and when I tried to get it as high as I usually have one came out with red blood on, clinic said there's just more blood flow and things are a little more sensitive and aslong as it wasn't red when making it to the pad it was fine.not putting the applicators as high now and been fine since.

Defo scary seeing it though
