11,000 HCG nothing on scan?

Hi all 🤍
looking for a bit of reassurance/previous experiences…..as the title says I’ve had my second lot of hcg tests back and they have gone from 5000 to 11000 in 48 hours.
according to my LMP I m 5 weeks 5 days…..however nothing can be seen on the scan? All they have said is there is a ‘cystic space’ but that is all.
(was scanned early at EPU due to recurring miscarriages:()
I am being scanned on Tuesday (4 days time)

hopefully some of you wonderful ladies can put my mind at rest?

I had a 5 week scan for different reasons, they couldn't even see anything on the internal scan, it's early on, try not to worry

Honestly if you’ve had recurrent miscarriages I would go easy on the internal scans. I was in the same position. You have to just be patient. 5 weeks is very early. Unless you’re at risk of ectopic I would wait until you’re 8 weeks and they can use an external scan.

@Hopeful1420 How are you? Just curious to follow up on your post as I am almost in a similar situation. I am 5+4 and my HCG is 4339 , progesterone 37nmlo HCG is doubling up every 48 hours and I had multiple internal scans but nothing visible yet so I am high risk PUL. I am bleeding lighter than periods and no pain as such. I have been to EPU and the doctor s are not yet convinced for ectopic as nothing visible in tubes as well. Though they have discussed laprocopy and metho options.

Congratulations on your pregnancy, however sorry hear you’re at such a nerve wracking stage!
I am now 13 weeks pregnant and baby was wriggling away on the 12 week scan with a strong heartbeat.
Turns out the baby really was just too small to be seen initially.
I was scanned again by a consultant at my local EPU, at around 6w2ds where we first saw the heartbeat.
They also discussed laparoscopy which I declined until I had atleast had another scan at 6 weeks.

Im sure it’s probably just too early, hopefully over the Xmas break your baby will do some growing and they’ll be seen on your next scan x
