Dates right but no baby?

Does anyone have experience of this? By test and missed period I should be 6 weeks 4 days. But had an early scan today and they've put me between 4-5 weeks all that was seen was a fetal pole and a yolk sac?. Im due to be rescanned in ten days but not sure what to expect tbh.
Will this go into a miscarriage?

Not necessarily bad news. I was measuring quite far behind initially but now 15 weeks so fingers crossed it's good news for you

It is hard to tell at this stage. All you can do is wait and hope. Have a big, un-mumsnetty hig from me as I know the wait is hard.

It’s not accurate at all. I knew when I’d conceived my 3rd as my oh works away and we only see each other once a month. They got my dates wrong by just over 3 weeks, I was half expecting him to ask for a paternity test as it couldn’t have possibly been any more wrong, good job he trusts me. Funnily enough I gave birth to my obviously full term 7.4lb baby almost a month before the due date 🙄

This happened to me, when they rescanned me I was still measuring 2 weeks behind but baby was visible with a heartbeat

he’d caught up by about 6 days at my 12 week scan and seems to just be following those dates now

Off to my scan now so will update with what I'm told today. Mixed feelings tbh. Sickness is so so bad but I don't have much hope

Really hope it went well for you OP. And hugs if it didn't. It is certainly possible for these things to come right though, embryos are extremely mysterious.

Hey all went well! Measuring at 7 weeks now and saw a heartbeat. Feel really relieved now. Thank you all x
