Has anyone else lost their stress tolerance in pregnancy??

I work in a relatively stressful corporate job - I'm senior and have a fair amount of responsibility. But I also spend my days at a desk mostly working from home so my job isn't physically demanding.

I've never had a problem with work-stress, in fact I've always been quite good in a crisis situation! But I've found since being in my second trimester (now in my third!) my tolerance for stress has completely disappeared.

Before things like presenting to clients or juggling deadlines etc were easy / normal for me, but now as soon as I get remotely stressed my body's response seems to be to make me feel physically sick! Like, I start properly vomiting when I start to feel stressed.

Wondering if anyone else has experienced this? Not necessarily asking for solutions because I'm not sure there is one other than to be less stressed, just curious if anyone else has felt the same.

I thought I'd just be able to plough on as normal at work until I gave birth, I was clearly massively underestimating how my body would cope with pregnancy!

Yes I definitely experienced this, extra sensitive to experiencing stress/ wanting to avoid negative situations, especially in the last few weeks. I assumed from a biological/primitive perspective it’s sensible to be avoid getting yourself into stressful situations when going into such a vulnerable time.
