Probably internal but don’t worry as it really isn’t as bad as you would imagine. Hope all goes ok :)

@Purplesheep2023 Yeah, I have had one before just mentally preparing haha! Thank you x

Probably internal, but the only one I've had that early (in fact I think was 6+2) I drank loads of water first just in case they could do it abdominally and they could! Which was a nice surprise not to have to take an internal. So I'd try that just in case, easy to quickly pop to the loo if they do need to change to internal.

@NamelessNinja oh thats a good point! Thanks ill give that a go x

Yes, I had an early scan at week 7. It’s internal.

the sonographer said there is possibility baby is too small and can’t detect. so don’t be surprised if this is the case.

in my case, the scan went well.

good luck!

@MumDaisy1980 I had one in my last pregnancy which sadly ended in a late miscarriage so I am under the impression itll be the same this time too.
So glad everything went well with yours xx

Not always internal :-) but usually. Depends a bit on maternal weight.

At 6 weeks with this baby I had both, they were able to locate everything with abdominal but needed to do internal to get accurate measurements. I was just asked to empty my bladder quickly before she went internal x

shakeitoffsis · 02/11/2023 20:58

Internal. It's fine.

LM88 · 02/11/2023 21:15

@Cheeesus good point with the weight. I dont suppose it matters either way - just wondered! x
@Ttcmumma Yeah, it may be possible they might do both depending what they are looking for! X
@shakeitoffsis thank you x
