Progesterone and asprin in early pregnancy

I have recently found out that I am 4 weeks pregnant. I've had 2 miscarriages in the past year so I've been reading a lot about prevention, especially progesterone and asprin.

I just called the midwives to ask and they just told me to ring back when I'm 6 weeks.

Would you pursue this any further? Should I just take asprin daily anyway?

Yes and yes. Start the baby aspirin (75mg) straight away, don’t wait. At 5 weeks, I got the progesterone pessaries at the EPAU after I said I had “bleeding” yeah I wasn’t being truthful but I wasn’t waiting for a 4th miscarriage when something so simple could save us, I’m currently 23 weeks 💖

Thank you for replying, will start taking asprin today. They are the 75mg ones.

Did you go direct to the EPAU? The midwife I spoke to didn't seem interested at all 😓

I understand how you feel, it's like I'm just waiting for miscarriage no.3, it's brutal.

Refer them to the NICE guidelines.

I'm not sure why aspirin would be indicated but after 2 consecutive unexplained miscarriages you should be offered progesterone.

Side effects weren't fun though!

Your GP might prescribe it for you.

I wasn't put on aspirin until 13 weeks

Thank you, I'm going to go to my GP and ask
