6 weeks 5 days: low fetal heart rate

Got my first ultrasound results via email today. It reads fetal heart rate low at 86 bpm. I never spoke to my doctor yet. Google says low fetal heart rate is high chance of miscarriage😥. Anybody experienced this before?

Typically they don't measure heart rate that early I thought? The baby is sooo tiny it's easy to make inaccurate measurements.

Was this a private scan or nhs?

Due to past chemical pregnancy, my doctor requested an earlier ultrasound.

I had a scan at 7 weeks and she refused the measure the heart rate as it's too soon. Please don't worry as I'm sure they would have told you upfront if there was a concern.

Normally the nhs don’t measure the heart rate this early as to not worry you since the baby is so small. Usually they point out the flicker and let you watch it for a few mins.

Have you spoken to your midwife? Could she give you some advice or get the doctor to contact you?

I'm surprised the NHS measured your heartrate that early? They don't usually do it. The first time they did it for me was for my 12 week scan even though I had an 8 week and 10 week scan before. I even asked at the 10 week scan what the heartrate was and she said that they don't do it and that it is not necessary.

I m 2 weeks behind on the ultrasound and heartbeat is just flickering. Supposed to be 7w4d when i went n baby measured only 5w4d woth flicker heartbeat went again after a week baby is measuring 6w4d bt heartbeat still low. Any hope or success stories please. I m pregnant after 5 years n i m shattered.

Also last week wed, thurs i had very very light spotting once a day then again on Sunday. I knw all ths shows imoending miscarriage but just find it hard to acceot as wewere soo happy when we came to knw abt pregnancy.

Anyone
