Is this HG? What do I do?

I'm 9+5 today, and have been nauseous all day long since about 4 and a half weeks. Since Thursday I have been vomiting, can barely keep anything down other than lemonade and dry toast, sick 5-6 times a day. I have 0 energy. Doctor prescribed me cyclizine which I've now taken two of (last night and this morning), and not helping so far.

Do these tablets take a while to kick in?

At what point do I contact the doctor if I'm not keeping much down? I can't keep water down either really. What's the cut off for needing to go in for fluids?

This is bloody awful!

They will likely take a few days to kick in so keep taking them.

If it continues this bad after a few days of taking them, they’re not making any difference and you’re still really suffering then call GP again. If at any point you faint, have any chest pain or feel unable to stand then I would call 111 as they may well advise you to go to hospital where as you said you might be given fluids.

Sending you hugs OP 🫶🏻

Go to your local maternity assessment unit. You may need IV's.

hope you’re okay! It’s absolutely awful and definitely sounds like HG. Keep in contact with your GP and if you can’t stay hydrated you’ll need to go into hospital for IV’s. Try sucking ice cubes for some liquids, rest lots. Don’t try and push yourself to do things, your body needs rest. I have spent most my pregnancy in bed now at 37 weeks, absolutely miserable but hope it passes for you soon

Thank you for your replies! Not been sick since about 10am this morning so hopefully the meds are now kicking in 🤞🏻

Managing to keep Lucozade sport drinks down so at least I'm getting some electrolytes in me. Only managing toast still food wise.

Thank you @Yarnle for the ice cube recommendation! It's actually helping with the nausea too as well as getting some 'water' in!! Lifesaver.
