When did you tell your children?
Im only five weeks and high risk. I’ve had to tell my immediate boss in confidence due to the job I do.
My children are 7 and 8 and the last time I was pregnant my eldest was only 6 months so could leave explaining as long as possible!
this time I have no idea when to tell them!

I told my son about my last pregnancy at 11 weeks (for Christmas and had a private scan at 10+5 to check viability) he was so happy. But then I lost the baby at 14 weeks and I will never forget his scream cry and the heartbreak he went through. I'm currently 16+4 with this pregnancy and I will probably tell him if the 20 week scan goes well. He's 5.btw x

I'm not in your situation but I'd plan to wait until after 20 week scan

I told my kids around the 12-week mark, after the first trimester. It felt like a good time because the risk of miscarriage went down, and I wanted to give them some time to get used to the idea.

We told Goonies 1 and 2 about Goonie 3 when we were six months gone. It was in lockdown. They were 6 and 3 at time.

And yes, they hadn't noticed 😂

I told my then 5-year-old at around 12 weeks. I sort of wish I'd waited longer though as the remaining 28 weeks felt like a lifetime for him and I think he almost thought it wouldn't happen and then weirdly it was a shock when it did! Time passes slower for kids.

14 weeks
If high risk I'd wait until atleast 20 week scan
