Apologies in advance for the not so nice photo

Hi there. This is my first ever post although have used this site for many years for advice etc just never signed up until now!
I am pregnant with baby number 2. My daughter is 7 years old so what I remember of my first pregnancy is very minimal. So I feel again like a bit of a newbie to all of this.

I am currently 11 weeks and 4 days due to have our 12 weeks scan in just over a week. Since around 7 weeks I have been experiencing alot of discoloured discharge some bloody which often looks like old blood but on the odd occasion there has been the slightest amount of fresh blood, this is only ever when I wipe it’s not in the toilet. I had some spotting at the beginning but no active bleeding. I know all pregnancies are different but this is something I did not experience with my daughter. I guess I am looking for some reassurance that this has happened with other people. I have been experiencing mild back pain albeit I do work on my feet for 12 hours a day so this I believe is expected.
I have had scans already confirming viability. I’m not sure if it is worth mentioning but I do have very irregular periods and I conceived August 20th with my last period prior to this beginning 3rd of June.

Thank you in advance for your replies.

This looks like implantation bleeding to me. It’s not huge amounts so that’s good news. I had no discharge with my LO but my friend who was pregnant same time has tonnes. Both absolutely fine. I think it’s nothing to worry about but definitely mention it to your midwife or GP to be on the safe side.

I'm not a medical expert, but I can share that some spotting and discharge can be pretty common during pregnancy. It's great that you've had viability scans, but if you're ever feeling unsure or worried, it's always a good idea to reach out to your doctor or midwife.
