Hi all

I've just found out I am pregnant and we are very excited. We already had a holiday booked to Orlando, Florida next Easter and I've worked out I'll be between 28-30 weeks pregnant.

Does anyone have any tips for dealing with an 8 hour flight and has anyone done it before?

Are you going to the parks? You won’t be able to go on any rides & if others you’re with will be you’ll be spending a long time sat around waiting.
if it was me I’d postpone, I couldn’t bring myself to spend all that money to sit on my own in the parks.

congratulations OP! How exciting.

i flew to Florida at 16 weeks pregnant, also flew to Dubai at 27 weeks pregnant from London which is a similar flight time.

The main thing with Florida as pp said is that very few rides allow pregnant people to ride them. I chose to do all the children’s rides and eat my way around instead, still just as fun! Just a different kind of fun. There’s all the parades, shows etc so still plenty to do. I have been there a lot so I didn’t feel like I was missing out on rides, I actually got to see more of the scenic stuff that normally I wouldn’t bother with due to prioritising rides!

In terms of the flight itself, lots of water (LOTS), lots of walking around and a good pair of flight socks. I let the stewards know I was pregnant and they just kept bringing me big water bottles which was lovely.

I would say it can still be a fabulous holiday, just a bit different from the thrill seeking ride holiday that some people go for.

Congratulations. Any way of bringing the holiday forward or delaying it until after the baby is born? I think Disney is exhausting anyway and definitely would not enjoy it being that pregnant
