I found out yesterday that I’m 4 weeks pregnant. I’ve filled in a consultation form for my GP to discuss the pregnancy but they most likely won’t pick it up for a couple of weeks. I am planning on keeping the baby.
I have taken OTC loperamide for years and years to combat severe IBS D and have to take 6-8mg a day at least 4 times a week. If I don’t take it I won’t be able to leave the house as it will be constant needing the loo (sorry TMI).
Im reading there’s not much studies in to loperamide in pregnancy and some say it’s ok some say it’s not.
Has anyone has to take it throughout pregnancy and their baby been fine?
Im not asking for medical advice just people’s experiences before I can get to see my dr.
