Pain in right rib for days

Evening all,

I'm currently 25 weeks pregnant and for the last several days I've had a constant pain at the top of my ribs on the right hand side. When I sit down it feels like there's a golf ball between my bump and my boob.

I have consulted Dr Google and it says this is normal but it really is very uncomfortable. Would you say I need to get checked out? I have a MW appt on Friday so could try and hang in there until then if it's not urgent.

Please check. You will not be bothering your midwife or maternity assessment. It's not worth the risk and health care professionals would rather check and set everyone's mind at ease.

I was high risk for pre eclampsia and pain there is one of the symptoms they told me to call if I got so probably worth a call to the hospital for advice as to whether they want to see you

Should I call my GP in the morning, or how do I find out who to call at the hospital?

My hospital notes had a list of phone numbers in and we would call maternity assessment unit for that sort of thing and it may not be called the same at your hospital but if you can’t find a number that sounds suitable try your GP

Gallstones are more common in pregnancy, do you still have your gall bladder? The pain can be either top right where your pain is or more central.

Could also just be baby’s feet :)

Oh I remember the endless rib pain when I was pregnant with my son. The only relief I got was standing up or pulling a dressing gown belt tight just under my boobs.
