So im 7.2 weeks today. Starting at 4 weeks ive had crazy intense symptoms: nausea (vomiting once in the am), fatigue, sore areolas, and crazy hunger. There were a few days to about a week from 4.5 -5.5 weeks where my symptoms had mostly gone, but returned after that. After they returned they were pretty bad. The nausea lasted throughout the day, I didnt eat much because of the smell aversions and nausea. When I did eat it seemed my stomach was a bottomless pit because I was NEVER full. As of 5 days ago my symptoms have slowly dissipated. I still get up in the morning with nausea and vomit once, but the soreness, hunger, and fatigue is so minimal. I know symptoms coming and going can be normal but has anyone experienced them slowly going away or decreasing in severity? I've experienced a MMC a few years ago and i'm just worried. I had a scan last Tuesday and everything was fine at the time. There was even a "flicker." My next scan is scheduled 11/21, they have nothing before that. I'm just looking for some similar experiences I guess.

When I was 7 weeks, my symptoms went and I panicked following an mmc like you. I called the EPU and they were kind enough to offer me a scan the following week. My symptoms returned a bit during that week and then went away the day of the scan just to challenge me a bit more!! Everything was fine in the end but I understand your worry. It's probably nothing especially since you still have the nausea in the morning. Symptoms really do fluctuate a lot in early pregnancy. I also remember being ravenous at the beginning and it tapered off towards the end of the first trimester. My symptoms were never constant. You might find that at some point symptoms will be back with a vengeance.
The experience when I had the mmc was a bit different as when symptoms disappeared, they came back the next day and then disappeared again the following day without coming back at all.

Thanks for this. I guess my only concern is that the symptoms are tapering. This morning no gagging or vomiting. I dont feel pregnant. Im also 36 and just very worried.

I understand how you feel and how nerve wracking it is. Could you arrange a private scan to put your mind at ease?
