Right before people say how lucky I am etc, I am lucky to carry a healthy baby full stop no matter mine or their size.

just like do these comments kind of irritate anyone who carries a bit small? Like I can imagine anyone who has a bigger bump and people make comments on that it must be annoying

Pregnant with DC2 and carried small with my 1st child, he was born a very healthy 9lb! So even though I’m small, expecting this baby to be a goooood size

I am 27 weeks and can hide my bump easy. This may be my last pregnancy - we said we’d decide in the future if we’ll have a 3rd I think I’d ultimately like one but not soon

I wish I did have a bigger bump I would love it and embrace! But I just carry small and the constant “oh you don’t even look pregnant” “are you sure you’re due then?” (Yep) comments are a bit annoying! Just wanted to vent a bit

I'm 26 wks with twins, first time mother to be and my bump is small. At first I was annoyed when ppl said it because it took so much to get to this point but I think it's said in a way that ppl are saying you look well. In my case it's usually followed up with you look great or relaxed ect. It's kind of hard to know what to say at the best of times imo. Congrats on your pregnancy by the way and tbh, I'm uncomfortable enough with my small bump as it is.....dreading the discomfort once 30 weeks hits so hopefully you are the same.

I think it comes from not knowing.

I didn't realise I would piss myself when vomiting, not reach the toilet in time, be sore all over, smell like shit, feel like shit, have bad breath, dry skin, vomiting every day, not be able to exercise, not be able to work...... pregnancy is healthy and I'm only 33 weeks.... god help me.

Carried big from the very start.

Ohh I would love to have a comment like that. Sorry though - I know it must be really annoying. My wife carried small too and used to get it all of the time.

I'm the opposite end of the spectrum. ONLY 16 weeks pregnant, (BMi is 22 so usually an average weight for my height) and my FIL said to me the other day 'I can't believe the size of you already. You've got so big. Are you sure you're not due sooner or carrying twins in there?' I did IVF so know exactly when I'm due and I've had about 4 scans already so definitely no twins but thanks for making me feel like crap! 😅

I can't imagine a situation where it would ever be okay to say stuff like that to someone. Crazy to me! I don't understand why when someone's pregnant all of a sudden their body is fair game for comment but it seems to be for some reason

I also keep getting told "you seriously don't look pregnant" but I know they don't mean it in a harsh way. It did bother me a bit when I was told my baby measured a bit smaller but then I am also a petite person so not too worried. It can be annoying when every comment is always about the size of the bump!
