Hello, I’m just looking for some advice as I’m a FTM so new to all of this & I’m pretty easily confused too 😌
I’ve been at my job since March 9th, I work 3 days a week and only do about 10 hours total per week. I also earn under £123 per week so I know that I wont qualify for Maternity Pay.
I’ve done the Maternity Allowance calculator online & answered all the questions correctly and it says that I’m entitled to Maternity Allowance that can start off November 5th but I have a quick question.
Where they ask about the mother working for at least 26 weeks, does this mean full weeks or does it just mean at least part time hours over 26 weeks, does that make sense? So for example, does me working a Wednesday, Friday & Saturday class a “1 week” or do I have to make up full work weeks out of my three shifts a week.. ahh I feel so stupid explaining this but I hope it makes sense!
Any help would be massively appreciated as I’m clearly not having an easy time understanding all this 🥴😂 Thank you for your help!!
