6 Weeks Pregnant & No Symptoms

Hi ☺️

I recently found out I’m 6 weeks pregnant with my first baby and I’m really worried that I have pretty much no symptoms at all. We have booked an early reassurance scan for next Friday when I will be 7W+2 but the wait is absolutely killing me because I don’t feel pregnant.

I did have maybe 3 days of sore boobs over the weekend but even this has now stopped. I’ve had no cramps or bleeding which I’m hoping is a good sign? I’m just really worried that I have no other symptoms 🙈

Has anyone else had this sort of experience?

Yes -I didn’t have any symptoms in the first trimester at all apart from an occasional metallic taste! I also was so worried I had to book an early reassurance scan before 12 weeks. Everything was fine (I had baby couple months ago). Hope that helps

My friend didn’t know until she was 14 weeks. Has some bleeding and no symptoms and got the shock of her life! She was TTC but didn’t think she was pregnant cos of the bleeding so a very nice surprise!

I didn’t have any symptoms at 6 weeks besides my missed period and occasional sore boobs (which I get with my period anyway). A week or so later I did start to feel nauseous but my nausea was relatively mild compared to some people.

With both my pregnancies, I had no symptoms whatsoever at 6 weeks, apart from a missed period and positive test.

I remember telling the GP I was concerned about this and she joked be careful what you wish for, and explained that she got hit at 8 weeks and it wasn’t fun.

The nausea and vomiting started at around 7-8 weeks for me…and it wasn’t fun at all.

Everyone is different - someone women have barely any symptoms. Some women suffer from day one. And some have them come and go in waves.

I know we get reassured by having symptoms, but try not to worry or overthink it. And congratulations!

Presumably you have a positive pregnancy test and haven't had your period? That's enough for now!

I am pregnant for the 3rd time after 2 MC so I understand what it is to be anxious: in the nicest possible way you need to reframe 'the wait is killing me'.
Focus on the things you can control - take your vitamins, do appropriate exercise, get fresh air and actively de-stress every day, eat nutritious food, stay on top of/get ahead of your admin, practice good sleep hygiene.

It's a long old road and you don't get certainty, even after the birth of a healthy baby there are a zillion things to worry about so let go of the things you can't do anything about. Don't wish nausea on yourself, it's grim.

Yup - no symptoms or issues for the entire 9 months until my waters broke! Other than an expanding waistline 😂

Hi @BecJune24 hope you are well? I'm just wondering what the outcome was as I'm in the same situation currently. No symptoms at all at 6w+2. Have an early reassurance scan for Saturday booked and feeling really anxious about it :(

Apart from a bump I had no symptoms. I then only got heartburn about five months in. Had one bout of morning sickness about six months in and it was in the shower it was so quick. Literally thought out of nowhere I feel sick, then I was sick then it went immediately. So heartburn and about a minute of morning sickness.

I was very lucky.

I work from home so I worked until I went into labour and even then I didn't realise I was in labour and I was on calls all day.

Had my Dd the next day.
