30 weeks and so uncomfortable is it normal?

I’m new on here so please bare with me if I have done something wrong.
This is my 2nd pregnancy my first one I flew through and managed to work the whole way through with ease. 2.5 years on and I’m now 30 Weeks pregnant again and all of a sudden struggling to do daily activities… my stomach feels so heavy and tight and the discomfort makes me waddle, and struggle to get up and down. They said my belly was small so had growth scan and everything was fine and did all obs and were very happy. I have quite an active job as work with animals so have slowed down this week to see if it makes a difference but I am still struggling.
has anyone else experienced such discomfort early on? Should I be worried or is it just the fact there is a baby growing inside my belly.
thanks so much

I’m 20 weeks with my second and feel so uncomfortable, the kind of uncomfortableness I only felt at the end of my first pregnancy, so you have my sympathy!

I’m 38 weeks now, but I remember a couple of months ago getting really uncomfortable. The second trimester’s definitely the best!

I felt better a few weeks ago, as the baby moved down a bit, so I could breathe easier. The baby’s so big and I’m so close to the end now though that I’m knackered again!

Short walks in the day helped me, but I had to balance this out with frequent tests where I would just lay on my side. I feel for you having an active job, that can’t be easy. Do you have any annual leave you can take to shorten the weeks, or paid sick leave if you’re struggling? Your employer should also do a risk assessment, so if there’s anyway of adjusting your duties so that you’re less uncomfortable it’s their legal duty to do it.

thank you very much for your reply it’s nice to know I’m not only one struggling. I’m lucky I work at home so can be flexible but I love what I do and is a family business. I have taken it much easier this week to see if the discomfort eased but it hasn’t. I just don’t want to panic for no reason but I also don’t want to ignore my body if somethings wrong.
Wishing you a good rest of your pregnancy and a birth xx

32 weeks with my 4th and I'm struggling just like u are.. honestly I can't wait for this pregnancy to be over

I really struggled 30 weeks on with my second pregnancy. Baby was lying so low down, head very low and I waddled everywhere. I was relieved when I gave birth, I was so happy it was over.

Hello I’m new here too!
27 weeks with my first. I also work with animals and I’m starting to struggle too, especially getting up and down. I’m planning on starting my maternity leave at 30 weeks because I just can’t do it anymore!
