Am I in labour?

Hi,
Maybe some Mums can help me!
I am experiencing some very tight pains, mainly on lower left side. It is constant pain but seems to worsen temporarily & then get better again. When it worsens, it's hard to stand up straight, lift my leg to walk up the stairs etc.
I had some similar pains a couple of days ago but eventually died down but this time it seems to be getting worse.
My belly is constantly hard!! Not tightening and then releasing, it is constant hardness along with pressure down below.
I'm 38+3 and booked in for ELCS on my due date (no medical need, maternal request) I don't know if I call delivery suite if they will have me in to check if i'm in labour or just get me to monitor at home?

I’ve not got any advice, sorry, but probably best to call and get checked either way!

Usually I'd say if you're questioning it then you're not in labour (or not enough to go in anyway) I know it's a massive cliche but you just 'know'

However if you have an ELCS planned Its probably best to go in for them to take a look

All the best x

It doesn't sound like labour to me with the pain being constant but agree you should get checked out, my labour started feeling like shooting period pains that would come and go every 10 mins then getting quicker together. Agree with pp you will know when it is labour
