I've been on triage, then the ward for about 43 hours now with no hope of the situation changing. I came in with frequent contractions and things haven't progressed since getting here. My heart rate is alarming. I'm on the list to have my waters broken and get this baby out, but no idea when there will be availability. I'm 40+6 today and just want to meet my baby... I'm in my feelings about it right now. Thanks for reading.

Sorry you are going through this, have they said why they can't just induce you now? should they be monitoring the baby also to check the heart rate is normal especially if yours is alarming? Try to keep mobile as possible to help progress things along, hope it happens soon!

Sorry you’re going through that. It’s not fun and worrying just waiting. I hope you can distract yourself and hope you can see baby soon

Sorry you're going through this, I sat on the induction ward last year waiting for my waters to be broken. Issues with my DD's heart rate, was so stressful, but in hindsight I was glad I was there being regularly monitored, I also learned afterwards that where I was they needed 18 midwives on shift and only had 13 which had a huge impact, there was also only one surgical team available who were on standby during my labour, as I was at risk of needing a c section, so many factors to get you over to labour ward with the support you need. Hope you're not waiting too much longer

Thanks, I'm still waiting but managed to get reexamined and things have progressed slightly which has made me feel a bit better. Baby and I are being monitored on the standard rounds, I think we're just a little too stable to jump the list. Thanks for the reminder too about the understaffing as that's definitely the issue at hand. Bleh. 💜

Waiting to be induced can be hard, I get you how stressful it is. I was sent in on a Friday at 1pm with my last pregnancy, didn't get a bed until 5:30am Sunday morning. The delivery ward was just so full with 'off the street' ladies that they couldn't fit anyone in to be induced. I asked to go home on the Saturday because I was so fed up and had kids at home already but they told me I'd go to the back of the list. I don't know how some ladies say they're being induced and it's started the same day! Just a bit jealous 😂
