Hi everyone

I am just wondering what everyone thinks - is this an evap line or a positive. I'm about 4 days before my period due, 10DPO
Used the clear blue early detection tests.
It came up in around 10 mins

Thank you :)
Have a nice day!

Why do we do this to ourselves? 💕

TolkiensFallow · 13/10/2023 19:10

Your clear blues from last night were definitely positive if they came up within the time - the risk testing this early is chemical pregnancy’s though…

those clear blues are the same as my positives though

Just an update - I'm now 1 day late, CD33. Not sure anymore what to say re dpo as I think I might have ovulated late?
Anyway - bfn today ( couldn't get a FMU as was away)
Was definitely feeling nauseated today and yesterday (not usual for me, can't remember the last time I felt nauseous). Feeling mild cramps and weird pulling, but nothing else. Tiredness yes but have been rather busy at work lately so could be just that...
Let's see how this goes. I try to test CD34 morning if still no AF. I think this is a weird cycle.,.

Fingers crossed 🤞🏼

@helloiamnewhere87 following along and wishing you luck here. I've had 2 chemicals in the past and it was heartbreaking even though I was only pregnant for such a short window. I eventually had a successful pregnancy with my third.

Just found out I'm pregnant again and my test today looked the same if not lighter than the one on Sunday morning when I first found out. I hate this waiting and testing!

helloiamnewhere87 · 16/10/2023 19:51

@mumsince2021 thanks so much! Yeah I haven't tested now for a few days just to keep anxiety at bay and see if AF arrives. Currently 2 days late. I'll test around 5-6 days late if still no AF. I don't want to drive myself nuts and be sad if I'm testing negative just because it's too early (should it be a late ovulation and just not picking hcg up yet)
Good luck to you too :) let me know how it goes

So....opinion needed please
I pulled this out of my clear blue digital (at 4 minutes) - it said not pregnant but I read many places that it's just not very sensitive for faint lines.
I'm now CD34, 3 days late but every chance is that I ovulated around CD 25.

What do you think? Is it a faint positive?

CB digital always has 2 lines on the inside strips. Never open them as it tells you nothing unfortunately.

helloiamnewhere87 · 17/10/2023 21:52

I understand that but it's 3 lines. The test strip also has a faint line....

I think if a digi is negative at 3 days late it’s likely to be a negative. I don’t think pulling it apart will tell you anything. Your first test really did look positive to me though. If you can get a first response or a boots early result test I think you’ll have your answer for sure.

helloiamnewhere87 · 17/10/2023 22:37

I'm 3 days late as per my normal cycle would be but according to the ovulation tests I'm just 10 DPO (so this am cycle I ovulated 5-6 days later than my normal)

Hi apologies for jumping on someone else’s thread, I’m not sure how to start one of my own but I’ve taken a pregnancy test at 9DPO and this is what has come up within 5 mins.. I’m really skeptical and don’t understand the result but has anyone had similar results at 9DPO and when did you get your BFP? Xx

helloiamnewhere87 · 18/10/2023 07:46

That's a stark negative, sorry

OP posts:
helloiamnewhere87 · 18/10/2023 08:50

But to be more reassuring. 9dpo is waaaaay to early to test. Wait till you miss your period to avoid driving yourself crazy over the next few days (from personal experience)

If you were 3 days late and pregnant then you’d have a very obvious positive by bow, and even if you were 10 DPO and pregnant on one of the early sensitive tests like Clear Blue 6 days early or the first response early response you would expect to see a line. At 10 DPO I got “pregnant” on clear blue digital and also had 2 clear lines on first response. Maybe wait a few days and then test again?

helloiamnewhere87 · 18/10/2023 09:15

Yes I think I'm too early. Also this one wasn't an early pickup test, just a normal digital.

On the note of "definitely " getting an early response double line at 10DPO. My sister needed DPO 16 (10 days after transfer) to get a double line on first response even though they knew ovulation by the minute as she was iVF, and she has my niece.

OP posts:
helloiamnewhere87 · 18/10/2023 09:20

And equally with her second baby - not ivf, just watched ovulation she needed to be 16 days late to get a line (for someone with super regular cycles)

mrsed1987 · 18/10/2023 09:51

Have you tried different brands? I would have thought you'd see a line by now after being so late but know that's not always the case

Whatelsecouldibecalled · 18/10/2023 10:01

@Cynthiaparker I would say that positive. I can see a line

Ratw21 · 18/10/2023 10:11

I can see a line! That’s what my very early one looked like, test again in a few days and fingers crossed 😊

I think that would be especially rare though. First response early result has a hcg sensitivity of 6. That’s why they can be taken 6 days before you’re due on.

Also saying it didn’t happen but not getting a line until 16 days after a missed period when you have regular cycles is crazy.

anyways good luck I hope you get your positive! X

letitgoh · 18/10/2023 12:02

@Cynthiaparker looks like an v early BFP to me

helloiamnewhere87 · 18/10/2023 12:45

Yes!!! Confirmed on a blood test. I am in fact 4-5 weeks pregnant!!!!!

Doctor said not rare at all that people do not get a line on the urine tests - said lot of her patients only get positive on urine at around 6 weeks, also apparently the acidity of urine depending on your diet etc can hide a line. She also said her only advise would be to never ever test before a missed period as it results in so much unnecessary speculation - which is a sound advice, I should have done so as well. HCG rise is very unpredictable so it's no point testing way too early as getting a false negative is more depressing than waiting a few days without knowing anything.
