Where is the Glow?

Hi all, I’m 17 weeks in with my first and very much wanted and wished for child (a little girl 💖).

But, I just don’t know what’s happening to me! I always look like I’ve not slept at all (I get on average 8hrs a night sometimes more and I still look knackered permanently) my skin is all pale and lacklustre and my hair, whilst it has got thicker and shinier has just gone wild!

I’m just getting to the tail end of a cold that I’ve had for around a month so I haven’t been able to wear any makeup as my eyes/nose have been running constantly and I just think I look dreadful.

It’s getting me down a bit honestly.

Does anyone have any nice skincare product or hair care product recommendations to make me look a little less corpse like?

Pre the rollercoaster which was ivf and now early/mid pregnancy I looked after myself well, but at the moment I just can’t seem to get myself to look healthy - let alone nice.

Any recommendations greatly appreciated.

Honestly, I’ve come to the conclusion that the people that glow during pregnancy must have been glowing before too🤣

my skin has been awful the past couple of weeks but a good moisturiser has really helped. I use the la Roche possay cycloplast one and the maybelline 24hr skin tint has a nice glow to it!

I’m 18 weeks - let me know if/where you find the glow as I would like some too x 😴

38 weeks - still waiting for my Hollywood A-List clear skin and shiny locks. Any day now I guess?? 😆

Still waiting. Four years (and a 19 month old second child) post partum.

Most other pregnant women seemed to have it, but not me.

In the opposite - look tired and crappy my whole life.

Pregnancy I glowed. Trust me I'd rather it your way around 🤣

I believe it's related to high anti histamine production as well as hormones, I wonder if collagen comes into the mix here as well?

I'm fed up of people telling me I'm 'glowing' when I feel like absolute crap! Pregnancy has spread my eczema to my face which means I'm always plastered in moisturizer and that's the 'glow'

Sometimes I wonder if it's just something people say to avoid saying 'oh my god you're absolutely huge' 😂

Thanks for the replies everyone! Glad I’m not alone in feeling crappy!

I’m 21 weeks and my glow is more of a green-tinged sweaty sheen surrounded by a cloud of frizz 🤔

I had a two day glow when I found out I was pregnant but since I think I've just been radiating grumpiness.
