Pregnancy after D&C?

How many of you have concieved successfully after a d&c how long did it take to concieve after? Has anyone had problems conceiving?
Did a d&c change you're periods atall? Thank-you in advance.

Naturally, it's taken us eight months but we lost out on some tries in between as we did a round of IVF and a frozen transfer.

It didn't affect my periods at all.

It took around 4 months for me to conceive after we had a 2 month break from trying after the D&C. I found my periods to be very different and so were my usual ovulation & PMS symptoms. I used to have extremely painful periods but after the D&C I hardly felt a thing, they were also a lot longer then they used to be although I couldn’t complain too much as it was nice to not have pain

Great to hear you concieved naturally hope is is well. Do you mind if I ask if the ivf was connected atall to your d&c?

Great to hear you concieved with no problems afterwards hope all is well. How long have you're periods become from what length if you don't mind me asking?
My periods have become shorter lighter since and I'm terrified of ashermans syndrome could just be age related too I suppose.

Thankyou, currently 17 weeks and all seems good this time round 😊 my periods went from 3-4 days previously to 5-8 days afterwards, which doesn’t sound like too much of a difference but 8 days felt like ages some months! I did get told that it can take a while for them to settle back down afterwards so hopefully that’s just what’s happening with yours

I had a d&c (well erpc) and then conceived again three months later. It was a successful pregnancy.

The two periods I had after the surgery were very light and quite short. Pre-surgery they were 5-7 days and medium flow. I was concerned after the first period so I started testing ovulation. I was still ovulating.

@Hzky3 Not at all. We had other fertility issues that led us down the IVF road.

I had erpc and conceived 2 months later, don't remember periods being odd in between. Sorry for your loss and hope all goes well for the future.

I miscarried end of January, had D&C end of February. My LMP was May 9th- I’m currently 22 Weeks pregnant. So less then 3 months I guess.

I recently had a D&C, it was my first pregnancy, and now I’m wondering when you all got your first period??
I started to bleed 11 days after the surgery, from recovery, it lasted 2 days. The doctor said I would probably ovulate 4 weeks post-op. At 3 weeks and 3 days I lightly spotted for two days, now at 3 weeks and 6 days, I am lightly spotting and cramping. Could I have missed my ovulation and this be my period?? (I have never spotted during ovulation, and ovulation tests have been negative all week) Did any of you have your period around this time?
